Notes for Club AU idea
So. Something LESS insert into LKH stuff? Supernaturals exist in this world, many of them are considered second class citizens yadda yadda, hard to find a job that pays well, and any publicly known supernatural time has some hefty restrictions. For example The Fae are NOT allowed to work with children, infectious shifters are banned from food services, medical work, etc.
There are organizations working to get better rights and all that since, well, oppressing people with powers is kind of a bad idea! But it's slow going. So a lot of places have a supernatural community much like city slums tend to have a specific demographic, it is NOT extremely polarized into specific packs or hard line between types I'd think unless you get a pushy Alpha, vamp, whatever that essentially runs things like a gang. Shifters kind of band together on the moons when able to tolerate each other for safety etc?
Gates HAVE been nown to open in the past (some people this is how some of the stranger supernatural types made it to this world because obvious GOD WOULD NEVER) so we can get Khem in later if we want but I'm seeing this, starting out, as a Boys and Beryl type AU? Early years on the move with her cousin Beryl no less, them learning to live, ending up all employed together maybe? Beryl is a hardass bartender chick who acts older than she is, but hired because she can hold her own AND won't be distracted by the dancing boys.
Club is a low end literal table dancing club, not a GREAT job but pays honestly where other places won't pay full wages to shifters and such? It IS getting a name that is drawing customers, a lure of the forbidden to ogle things proper suburban sorts don't?
Conversely I could have Khem already there but living quietly in a shack in the woods as it were and the supernaturals in the area are kind of hiding her existence because she has no green card but will work with/heal anyone?
